Hold Hands Spring Tide – Winner of the 2025 Libris Awards Tertiary Prize

My artist book Hold Hands Spring Tide has been chosen as the winner of the Libris Tertiary Prize for 2025. From plotting early pages in art class to wrangling scraps of torn, dirty cloth with my sister in bushland to sew down, it can be difficult to see a clear artistic trajectory within a project. Compressing these expressive impulses in book form felt right, but the chance at a shortlisting alone has been a fine motivator in times of doubt.

Thank you to Artspace Mackay and everyone behind the Libris Awards. Thank you to my wonderful partner Jack and my family, in particular my sister Helen. And of course, thank you to Rebecca and Deidre at the Australian National University School of Art and Design, for the encouragement and tutelage.

You can see the Libris Artist Book Prize exhibit till the 14th of September. But, because Hold Hands Spring Tide was acquired as part of the gallery prize, I believe it can also be requested for viewing going forward at Artspace Mackay.
