Southern Winds

The prevailing wind direction in Canberra varies - northwesterly winds are predominant from April to December. In the remaining months, the wind is most often from the east. Yet the sustained period of southerly winds over the last couple of days has generated some distinctively consistent results. Guided by wind speeds of up to 32 km/h, these drawings are keenly similar, signalling a marked continuity in wind behaviour.
