Fold Stitch and Bind – Artist Book Exhibit at Tuggeranong Art Centre

I’m happy to announce that my artist book Camellia has been accepted into the Fold Stitch and Bind artist book exhibition at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre. Bringing together both traditional and experimental approaches from artists across Canberra and the surrounding region, the exhibition considers the artist book as an artwork in itself – tactile, intimate, and attentive to material and process.

For me, Camellia emerged through slow and reflective making, shaped by repetition, touch, and the gradual build up of stitched gestures. Artist books occupy a unique space between object, archive and encounter, inviting a mode of viewing that is physical as much as visual. To have the work included amongst other artist books that similarly expand and challenge form feels both affirming and meaningful.

The exhibition will open on Friday, 19 June 2026 at 6pm at the Tuggeranong Arts Centre.
